A private asset manager is looking to hire a Financial Data Specialist for their CT office. The role will be to support data collection, validation and related data operations, the candidate must be familiar with Unix/Linux environment, bash scripting and common utilities. The ideal candidate must have an excellent knowledge of C++, and Perl programming and should also be familiar with Object Oriented programming; database knowledge is also a plus is a plus. You must also have a good working knowledge of computer networks, HTTP, CGI, XML, and FTP combined with Software design and implementation skills, design patterns, data structures and basic algorithms. Basic knowledge of statistics is also preferred. The ideal candidates will have strong mathematical/science academic backgrounds.
